On Saturday 10th August, Tupwood Gate Nursing Home held a summer fayre and fundraiser. The party saw residents, past and present, come together with family, friends and staff for a fun-filled day for a good cause.
Our Tupwood residents enjoyed a classic country show earlier this month, with songs right through from 1950’s to the 1990’s. Residents enjoyed the entertainment very much and thought the performers were extremely talented.
At Tupwood Gate we've been bringing the outdoors in with some gardening activities. Our residents made grass hedgehogs by planting seeds and watching it grow over the course of a week.
Here at Tupwood we are starting our preparations early in eager anticipate of the Queens Jubilee. Residents have been painting and adding jewels to these crowns to decorate the home.
Tupwood Gate recently enjoyed a performance from a brilliant Bollywood dancer! Before she performed, residents were taught some of the hand gestures so they could join in. At Tupwood, we value providing our residents a wide variety of entertainment from different cultures.
Last week at Tupwood Gate, residents were treated to a carousel show by Musical Memories. They performed numbers from The Wizard of Oz, Laurel and Hardy, Oklahoma and My Fair lady. They had a great day singing along especially when the pearly King and Queen sang Lambeth Walk!
