Sibusiso (Busi) Mudimbu - Service Manager

Sibusiso, also known as Busi, started working for Cygnet in 2003 as a care support worker and in the same year she was promoted to a senior care support worker. In 2004 she went to complete her nurse training as a mental health nurse in Anglia Ruskin University and after obtaining her qualification in mental health nursing, she returned to Old Leigh House where she completed her preceptorship. In 2014 she became the Registered Service Manager for the same service.

Busi then held a number of roles outside of the organisation, in order to acquire more skills in nursing, including being a Registered Manager in a Nursing Home for the elderly. She returned to Cygnet in July 2020 as Service Manager at Old Leigh House. In 2024 she took a new role as a Regional Manager where predominately supported Tupwood Gate Nursing Home, before becoming the Service Manager for Tupwood Gate later that year.

Nokutula (Tully) Gogotya - Deputy Manager

Tully joined Tupwood Gate in November 2009 as registered nurse, she was made deputy manager in December 2021. Tully enjoys providing residents with the support they need to make their lives as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible with the dignity they deserve.

Tully enjoys supporting the staff team and take staff welfare very seriously. The thing she likes most about Tupwood Gate is the teamwork and inclusivity. Everyone is treated with fairness and respect. She says "We feel empowered by Cygnet to step up when we need to."

Carole Paes - Catering Manager

Carole is the catering manager and has worked at Tupwood Gate for 17 years - in this role for 15 years. Carole is a qualified chef and also studied patisserie. She likes to get to know the residents on a personal basis, understanding their like, dislikes and preferences. Tupwood cater for all manner of diets, including diabetic, vegetarian, gluten free and also any religious requirements. Carole looks forward to meeting all new residents and discussing their catering requirements.

Bobby Valencia - Maintenance Manager

Bobby started working for Tupwood Gate when he came to England from the Philippines in 2003, where he had just graduated as a Registered Nurse. At first he was working as the laundry assistant and then progressed to laundry and housekeeping manager. Dealing with staff allocations and ensuring that the Nursing Home always looked clean and smelled nice.

During his time at Tupwood, Bobby has assisted the staff in many ways, he drives the minibus and collects staff at the train station, assist all departments as and when needed. Bobby was offered the Maintenance Manager position a few years ago and this is his main role now, he deals with general maintenance of the building and garden areas. Bobby enjoys working at Tupwood Gate and the interaction with the staff and residents.

Eleanora (Nori) Bodean – Senior Nurse

Eleanora (Nori) has been at Tupwood for just over 16 years now. She loves working in a supportive nursing team environment where she feels valued and works collaboratively to provide the best care for the residents.

Whilst working at Tupwood Gate her exposure to a variety of patients has increased her confidence over time in clinical decision making. She loves making a real difference in residents' daily lives and helping new staff gain confidence.

Her career highlight has been receiving positive feedback from patients and families as it adds reassurance that the care she provides is making a difference.

Rose Arney – Senior Healthcare Assistant

Rose has been with Tupwood Gate for over 40 years. She has seen many changes within the care sector and continues to love her journey regardless. She is passionate about seeking the best person-centered care for each resident she works with.

Rose has and continues to be, the backbone of the team here and she truly embodies all of the Tupwood core values; integrity, trust, empower, respect and care.

Sue Clarke – Activity Coordinator

Sue is a long-standing member of the Tupwood Gate activities team, who takes great pride in putting together a varied programme of events suitable and accessible for all of the residents but that are also fun!

Sue has organised all manner of entertainment from singers, bands, magicians and seated exercise classes to arts and crafts, games and themed events. Sue is also responsible for coordinating all Tupwood Gate trips and excursions and is always happy to work with residents and receive ideas to help meet their preferences.
