The team at Tupwood Gate Nursing Home in Caterham have been shortlisted in three categories for the national Palliative Care awards in recognition of their outstanding commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred end-of-life care.
Tupwood Gate has built a strong reputation for creating a calm, homely, welcoming and respectful environment where residents receive personalised support tailored to their individual wishes, needs and preferences. The impact of the team’s approach is reflected in the heartfelt feedback regularly received from relatives and loved ones.
One family member wrote: “My mother spent her final few months at Tupwood Gate. My family were all very happy with the way she was looked after. The management and staff are excellent. Everyone was friendly, caring and sensitive to my mother’s and our needs. Tupwood Gate took care of everything and ensured that she was always comfortable.”
Families have also highlighted the dedication shown by staff during the most challenging times. One review noted: “When my husband’s health was failing he was well cared for in all respects and his care wishes respected. There is a warm homely atmosphere within the home.”
