On Saturday 20th December Tupwood Gate Nursing Home held its annual Christmas party for residents and their relatives. It turned out to be Tupwood’s biggest Christmas party yet with nearly 100 people attending.
The day started with sherry on arrival, a nativity farmyard in the garden with smaller animals coming into the conservatory including a two week old donkey called Coco.
A lovely buffet luncheon for all was accompanied by the sounds of some background music played by Patrick, a fabulous guitarist. Following lunch entertainment was provided by singer Richard Radcliffe and some residents had a dance and gave ‘Strictly’ a bit of competition. The day ended with a visit from Father Christmas, port and Christmas cake.
