Tabley residents enjoy close up view of Knutsford Races

Gwen meeting one of the horses at Tabley Races

On Saturday 21st April, the Knutsford Point-to-Point races took place on the grounds of Tabley House.

Point-to-Point steeplechasing is an amateur sport that is the stepping stone for many with aspirations to be leading jump jockeys and trainers. In total there were six steeplechase races on the day, as well as two flat pony races for children under 16 years of age.

Some of our residents took the opportunity to get a closer look, meet some of the horses and chat to some of the jockeys. One resident who particularly enjoyed it was Gwen who recently celebrated her 101st birthday.
