An Afternoon at the Theatre for Tupwood Residents

Tupwood residents took a trip to the Churchill Theatre in Bromley this week to enjoy a pub lunch and live Panto. We had a great time watching Snow White (and having an ice cream during the interval too!).

Tabley House Wins Award for Compassionate Care

We are proud to share that Tabley House Nursing Home's fantastic deputy manager, Rachel Burke, has scooped an award this month for the compassion she demonstrates in her job every day.

Music Therapy Workshop at Tupwood Gate

We recently had another visit from Lyn and Ian, who run ‘Music, Songs and More’ – a music therapy workshop. Our residents used instruments, pom poms and other items to express themselves. We also competed in a music quiz and spent time listening to composers, such as Tchaicovsky.

Spring Crafts for Tupwood Gate Residents

Residents have been taking part in some Spring crafts this month, creating bird feeders using lard, bird seed and coconut shells to hang in the garden. To bring the theme indoors, residents painted a mural for the conservatory, featuring tissue paper leaves, paper flowers and finishing off with some 3D bird houses.

Gwen Celebrates her 102nd Birthday at Tabley House

Last week, one of our residents celebrated their 102nd Birthday! Gwen spent the day with many of her friends and family, surrounded by flowers and cards, and a special picture painted by our very own artist, Noreen. In the afternoon, Gwen celebrated with all the residents and staff with an afternoon tea party. It was a lovely start to the Easter Weekend!

Trip to The Potting Shed Café

Our activities team recently popped over to Knights Garden Centre - Nags Hall, with a couple of the Tupwood residents. They enjoyed a spot of shopping and finished the afternoon with coffee and cake in The Potting Shed Café.
